Patient Based Mock Silicone Anatomy
Manufacturing silicone mock arteries and anatomy from patient-based geometry are a specialty of BDC Laboratories. We utilize advance software packages to extract the desired vascular geometry from the raw DICOM images or STL file format. Our team can manipulate the geometry to change the diameters, lengths, tortuosity, and angulations. Vascular disease states, such as aneurysms, stenosis, and strictures, can be added or removed from the patient’s vasculature to create the exact silicone mock anatomy required for testing, marketing, or sales activities. Silicone mock anatomy models can be built to specific diameter and compliance, or to a representative feel.
BDC Laboratories designs and builds custom “turn-key” simulated use systems that include clinically relevant vascular pathways while accurately achieving the appropriate hemodynamics within the model. The test system vascular pathway is typically constructed to specific clinical data using BDC’s silicone mock vessel technology; however, the systems can be compatible with other models as required.
