LDT-1800
Uniaxial Fatigue System
Designed specifically for structural heart and endovascular devices, BDC Laboratories’ LDT-1800 is optimized for mechanical fatigue, durability, and dynamic characterization of materials, implant coupons, and full medical devices. The LDT-1800 test system employs an efficient and ultra-low friction electromagnetic drive technology to operate at a wide range of test frequencies and displacements up to 30 mm.
The LDT-1800 is controlled and monitored by our closed-loop Statys® LDT software, enabling precise control and real-time monitoring of test parameters. The platform features intuitive tabular and graphical data displays, repeatable dynamic loading, built-in safeguards, and a user-friendly interface.

Independent Control
The optional Multi-Station Test Fixture offers independent test station adjustability and dynamic load measurement, allowing operators to preload and monitor each sample for response and fracture detection individually during S-N Endurance Limit testing.

Thermal Stability

Heated Circulator Bath
The TCU-1 is a heated circulator bath that connects directly to any sample immersion tank, creating a stable thermal fluid test environment. Its remote temperature control measures and regulates the temperature at the actual sample bath rather than the internal reservoir.
Multi-Station Fixture
The multi-station fixture assembly tests up to 16 samples concurrently and provides independent station adjustability to ensure correct and accurate conditions for each sample.
Multi-Station Load Monitoring
The multi-station fixture integrates individual load cells into each station to enable continual load monitoring, identify changes in sample dynamic response, and detect fractures in real time.
Heart Valve Commissure Fatigue Assembly
For prosthetic heart valve component commissure fatigue testing, this proven pulley-based deflection fixture directly interfaces with the LDT-1800 fatigue system.
Stent Dynamic Bending Fixture Assembly
This established column buckling-based fixture set supports dynamic bending fatigue testing as detailed in ASTM F2942, enabling evaluation of stents across diameters.
