Radial Fatigue Tester
BDC Laboratories offers the next generation in stent and stent graft radial durability test equipment that is coupled with our internally developed Statys control and monitoring software. BDC Labs offers two radial test systems, each with unique attributes to encompass the test requirements of many different technologies. The first system, model RDTI-0100, is a complete sample immersion instrument that can accommodate extremely large diameter (= 50 mm) and long devices (= 400 mm) in many different test configurations including: straight, bifurcated, aortic arch simulation, AAA angulation, and aneurismal models. The second system, model RDTL-0200, is an optical micrometer based system that enables testing of either straight or bifurcated models with direct measurement of diametric motion. Both systems utilize BDC’s novel RB-5 drive systems.
Both test systems can be used to evaluate stents, stent grafts, vascular grafts, occluders, as well as shunts, and can be modified to accommodate bend “U” configurations for coronary applications. Included in the system is BDC’s computer based monitoring and control software, Statys, that allows for continual data logging throughout the test period for quality control. Furthermore, with incorporated safety mechanisms, the system automatically stops if any of the monitored parameters exceed set points, thus preventing any damage to the test samples or system.
