Cardiovascular Simulators
Cardiovascular simulators constructed for a particular vascular bed can be utilized for many applications ranging from research and development to marketing. In R&D, deployment of your technology into a clinically relevant, pulsatile flow environment, can offer key insight into the device or deployment system, facilitating a quick iterative cycle for improvement and refinement. Furthermore, your development engineers can get a first-hand feel for using the technology, as indicated clinically, without having to enter a catheter lab or operating room. When used for marketing and surgeon training, BDC’s systems can provide a level of control and focus that is not available in other settings, significantly increasing the value to each and every event.
Complete Custom Systems
BDC Laboratories can provide simulated vascular environments for nearly every vascular bed including: thoracic, peripheral, venous, and pulmonary. Construction of a custom system begins with the definition of the flow network’s application. Some application examples are: research and development testing, simulated use verification, surgeon training, and marketing demonstrations. From here, BDC will design and manufacture all the test fixtures and anatomically appropriate pathways. Clinical data can be directly utilized to define the vascular tortuosity if desired. All supporting equipment will be procured by BDC personnel, leveraging our complimentary products when appropriate, ranging from the pulsatile pump to the measurement transducers and finally to a silicone vascular model. The complete system will be delivered to your facility with onsite demonstrations and training by highly qualified personnel, leaving you ready to begin testing upon our departure.
